As noted in the article, it can be a dangerous situation for those of limited means. Re: LD Homeless Reply #4 – March 18, 2018, 10:11:01 pm I think this is one that is currently parked on Lassen near Woodman.... And, poor, poor Blue. Before we drove up to Morro Bay State Park to join the LD group, while getting gas, the manager at the gas station near there in the SFV asked where we parked it. I didn't think poor Blue was that bad!!

Santa Monica, known for years as the home of the homeless, would seem to be a better place to live on the street.Didn't know that living in an RV, parked on private property, was illegal in Portland. I plead guilty, we have parked dozens of nights in my BIL's driveway. The causes are many, the lack of decent paying entry level jobs, for both high school and college graduates, the collapsing social safety net, limited or non-existant state mental health care and the shrinking middle class are just a few. Both Portland and Los Angeles are expensive cities, with high rents and property prices.Living in the San Fernando Valley, we see old RVs parked all over. The City has restrictive parking rules, designed to keep them out of residential areas but they parked wherever they can get away with it. The industrial zones are loaded with derelict RVs.A big problem is the dumping of holding tanks into storm drains or ? The City has proposed having pump-out trucks available to prevent this but there is opposition to it, it may only encourage more RVs to move here. No good apparent answers. Larry 2 Likes

But I have not seen any people living out of RV'S and we live across the street from a huge Park that goes for miles with water running through it. Seen a Video of Homeless in Orange County CA. on internet and it was just unbelievable! Yes, our country really has a serious problem.
