Generator access?? 7 years ago I want to change my spark plugs and see no way of getting to the second one in the back.Does the bottom skid plate act also as a support plate for the generator?If not can I remove it to gain access?

Reply #4 – 7 years ago I have not changed the Emerald spark plugs on my '88 MB, but would a 3/8" drive spark plug deep socket with an external hex drive and an open end wrench do the rear spark plug removal trick? I have one in my Sears Companion socket set from 50 years past. Larry probably knows this answer!
Re: Generator access?? Reply #5 – 7 years ago On second look mine is a 4000 "Emerald Plus".I think it may have 2 plugs.If it does I have about 1" of head room to reach back there. No way will that work.

No way will that work.i just did mine a few months ago, i thought i remembered an access hole on the backside of the box it's in, no? don't remember it being very hard.
