26' LD with queen bed
Does anyone know what the last year was that LD made the 26' with queen bed?  Thanks.

They had one in the show room when we ordered Ruby in January 2004 (August 2004 pickup). The set bed was cool but the living area was painfully small. That model was eliminated quickly.

Now that we’ve lived in a rig needing a bed make up and take down each evening and morning that bed looks a little more appealing today.

PS - We went out there pretty confident we would end up with a Rear Bath. Turns out once we lived in the units most of that day we decided that we definitely wanted separate areas since I’m an earlier riser than Kristine. That turns out to have been a good move for us. Too bad they don’t have each model in the showroom anymore. That was very educational for us as RV newbs.

We have friends that own a 26.6' Island Bed and they love it.
Its lounge and kitchen area are small, that's what happens when you take a 30' LD and remove four feet from the interior.
The bed is a queen and may be worth it to those who want a fixed bed.
They are extremely rare, very few were sold.

Happy hunting

This is true, but, with a bit of seating creativity and 'snugness tolerance', the front area can fit four people for dinner, even with the table extension in place. (The entry door is not accessible with the little settee pulled out, but this is a minor issue.)

I can well understand the appeal of a 'down bed'; it grows stronger every time I crawl into (and out of!) the overcab!  ;)

After 30 years of TTs , 29 of which involved someone crawling over someone to get up,  that appeal was the deciding reason for the 31 IB selection  ;)

It's been 4 months in our 26.5 IB and while it's the only floor plan we know, it's been extremely functional for us. Initially I wanted a RB but the IB became available and, well, beggars can't be choosers. Since then, we have traveled and camped with 5 adults and 2 toddlers. Hats a bit too cozy but doable for a weekend. We just had to convert the dinette for extra sleeping space.

I fully understand.  But, if I were traveling alone, the midbath would still be my choice.  I would leave the driver's side couch set up as a double bed still leaving the other side as a couch.  This configuration allows for sitting to watch tv, read, etc and still leaves a bed set up to use at any time.  While the driver's side bed is a little short for us tall guys (6'-3" here) when set up as a double, it works ok.  We even used this method when traveling with 2, just made the other side into a bed only for sleeping.

No attempt at offense here Joan but that statement brought a smile  :D  to my face at the visualization!

So I'm curious how you had a double bed in your in the mid bath on the driver's side. I have the same configuration in my mid bath. It's not near wide enough. I removed the back cushion and the back rest. Not as wide is a double bed.

I would say it's between a single and a double in width.

OK, I agree it's not as wide as a standard double, but it is wider than a twin and fairly comfortable for one.  I wouldn't try two on it however.

Our 23.5' FL has the same pull out couch. It works fine for two small children.
Fitting two adults requires that they are very friendly, preferably not too big in size.
It's great for one person.
