Propane leak, dang
Ruby’s been awfully quiet the last couple years ... purring along with hardly any too many issues. All good things ....

After this gawd awful freeze the last few days went over and checked her out. Well, everything looked okay and she started up. However, I noticed a faint propane stink outside by the propane tank and running a bubble test find that the gauge on the tank is leaking.

I have Rectorseal #5 and all but I have no idea how I can get this handled on my own. Will entertain all comments. In 13 years I have proudly handled all issues except two related to the genny. This time though I think I need a pro, gas scares me.

Were I you and had that problem I would seek out the help of a bulk propane dealer. It may require a new gauge or something as simple as new sealant tape. Good luck!   ;D

I think I am reasonably mechanically competent, but I would not touch this.  As Lazy Bones said, get it to a pro and have them address the leak.
