Senior Pass - follow up September 12, 2017, 09:01:27 am For those that were concerned about me 'clicking' on a phishing link for government purchase of a Senior Pass. I now have two just in case I lose one.Today I received the pass in the mail. Included was a new hang tag. 1 Likes
Re: Senior Pass - follow up Reply #1 – September 12, 2017, 09:04:36 am DW received hers yesterday as well, ordered online from the Parks site. I already have the Access pass (don't qualify as a Senior yet) so we are double covered.
Re: Senior Pass - follow up Reply #2 – September 12, 2017, 09:07:39 am USPS informed delivery showed a letter from the US gov't which obviously has to be my spare card. But I won't be home for a few more weeks. Too nice here in the NM mountains to go back to Louisiana humidity. 1 Likes

Both the Access Pass and the Senior Pass offer the same perks; i.e., free entrance to federal areas with an entrance fee (such as National Parks), and half-price on some amenity fees (such as campgrounds). 1 Likes

And, if the senior pass was obtained before the late August price increase, it's a good deal! 1 Likes

Absolutely, each person of a couple should get one or the other, if qualified! While camping fees are half-price for the card holder and anyone accompanying him or her, there are other amenity fees that the half-price only applies to the card holder...like cave tours at Great Basin National Park. 1 Likes
