California RV show July 24, 2017, 05:03:29 pm This is the 65th year for the big RV show in Pomona CA. I know Lazy Daze used to attend these shows but stopped at some point, does anyone know why? I wasn't able to find any information about why they stopped in the archives here and now I'm curious. And now that I've found my Lazy Daze I'm all about the accessories. I've heard varying reports regarding this show and shopping. Anything I should know? All hints greatly appreciated.
Re: California RV show Reply #1 – July 24, 2017, 07:56:21 pm My take is that they have such a backlog of orders and get such great publicity through this forum that they see no need to spend money on exhibitor fees nor waste time sitting there. -- Jon 2 Likes
Re: California RV show Reply #2 – July 24, 2017, 08:30:44 pm Lazy Daze used to be a member of RVIA, the Recreation Vehicle industry Association. One of the requirements was to attend a minimum of one major RV show a year. Pomona was it.Once they quit RVIA, Steve stopped going. He hated the show and, if you were to meet him there, he was likely to be in a bad mood, acting as if he was a school boy being punished. They always sold out their yearly production and he saw unreason why they needed to be there. When were initially looking at motorhomes, in 1994, we went the Pomona show and I looked closely at every Class C there, inside and out. It was after inspecting an LD that the choice was narrowed down to one company, Lazy Daze.Without them being, we may have never bought one.Larry 1 Likes
Re: California RV show Reply #3 – July 25, 2017, 02:06:18 am Larry if Lazy Daze left RVIA does that mean the the new models don't have the seal? I thought that was a necessary part to USA & Canada road worthiness? ~Liam 26~MB

They didn't have any 23.5' models at the show, your FL was the first we had seen.We like the floorpan and then started looking for a good, used one. So, you get a brownie point. Spend it wisely.Larry 1 Likes
Re: California RV show Reply #6 – July 26, 2017, 05:13:18 pm Overtime. Overtime me want overtime. !!!Tis Austrailia which has the worlds top 10 venomuos creatures. And I thought the Mojave green was bad. Okay plan 1. Buy trailer. fake Austrailia. Plan 2. More OT. So much more they give my 3 months off for a trip to Alaska. Plan 3. Forget one and two and refi house to pay off upside down LD with out a garage? Yup. Plan 3 wins But I did write to see if they are planning to visit Pomona this year. If they are. I'm going. Simply to lick my wounds and drool over it L

Re: California RV show Reply #10 – July 27, 2017, 01:55:01 pm Note that the mothership is a pretty short hop-skip-jump from the RV Show, so some careful timing will allow you to visit both in the same day.Steve 2 Likes
