Lazy Daze everywhere
We just returned from 23 days of traveling through California, Oregon, and Washington and saw 9 Lazy Daze on the road (not including forum member Sypsig's parked in his barn).  Our last night before an early morning run across the desert toward home was spent in Boulder Creek RV in Lone Pine and saw a good lookin' Lazy Daze towing a Jeep parked about 10 sites down from us.  We never saw the owners or have a chance to meet and talk.  The most interesting close encounter was on the coast of Oregon on highway 101 south of Beverly Beach SP, possibly in the area of Florence.  We followed a RB with the same color as ours (grey paint) for miles along the 101 until we passed them and waved in town.

We couldn't swing a cat on this trip and not hit a Lazy Daze.

Incidentally, for the first time ever, we saw blue skies all day every day throughout the coast of Olympic Peninsula, Washington and Oregon.  It was beautiful.

Nice traveling- it has been an active summer for LD travelers judging by what we have seen around here.  Maybe we will see you next time!

Thanks Paul,
Cyndy felt the need to get reservations at each place we visited due to the summer RV traffic.  It was a nice security, but eliminated any flexibility for daily changes in plans. A relative traveled down from Canada to meet us, which was really nice, but when they ended up staying with us for an extra day it limited our options while up in the Port Angeles area.  Thus no dungeness!

The state of Washington did harvest our money for another license when we were in Astoria and we dug two limits of steamers for a great dinner of clams in butter sauce on pasta.  It was a big help that an old friend lives in the area and knows exactly where to find them!

Boulder Creek CG is one of our favorites.  Good place to base for day-hiking the east side of those soaring peaks in the Sierra.   We stop there often when traveling US 395.

Stayed there a couple year's ago in our trailer with a church group from Stallion Springs.  Nice park and good location for exploring the area!

Harold, good to hear you and Cyndy had an excellent trip north!

We weren't as "lucky" as you on our June trip to Cali.  We put 1800 miles on our rental car from LAX to Sequoia, Yosemite, San Fran., Monterey, Morro Bay, Solvang, Anaheim, "Mothership", back to LAX.  We saw 4 LDs, one in storage not too far from Merced, one northbound towing on the 101 near Santa Maria, one "vintage" rig parked on the main street in Malibu, and one parked in a driveway in Santa Monica (have seen this one previously).  While not the purpose of our trip, we would have liked to meet some fellow LDers from out west.
