Joe Cocker and Leon Russell, it doesn't get much better than that!  If you look carefully, you'll see Rita Coolidge as well. This is from the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour:

I used to have the Laid Back album (back when they were vinyl, of course).  Gregg Allman (and previously the Allman Bros. Band) was one of my favorites. It's sad when you see the artists you grew up listening to pass on.   :(   Kind of makes one feel old!

"Kind of makes one feel old!"

Yep, and lots of memories.  Plenty of good tunes on page 3, thanks to all for sharing\reminding!

Mad Dogs and Englishmen....wish I had a buck for every time that went in the tape player.

Those Were the Days covers...I right away thought of Melanie Safka, forgot about Mary Hopkin.

Here's one of my favorite oldies, not the most popular radio version, but the original.

Whilst I save up for an eventual new-to-me-Lazy Daze, here is my favorite new song.  Singaporean rap, anyone?

Greg,

That was a very clever video and an inspiring song.

Pink Floyd also had some inspiring lyrics about this topic...

Ok, so this next little diddy is one of my favourite campfire songs. May be more of a Show Tune than a Road Tune but it is soothing, easy to learn and perfect for a family around a fire at night.

Break out the guitar. Gather the kids. Clear your collective throats and join along with the Three Amigos as they send us to bed with Blue Shadows.

This one's for you Zombie Lovers. Thanks for reminding me Greg.

If you look closely, you may see the Zombie LD lurking in the background.

I'm thrilled to bring this video back from the near dead.

No Road Tunes list would be complete without this classic from Roger Miller!

OK, at the risk of ridicule I must admit I'm a Weird Al fan.  Just learned he is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year:

Al recorded his first hit in the bathroom adjacent to the KCPR studio at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.  I had the pleasure of visiting his "studio" when I was a student there.  Here is the video of "My Bologna." Polka anyone?

"Here's a favorite from my youth. What was I thinking?"

Are you sure it's just cream in your coffee Kent?  That was psychedelic man! 😜🙃
