Live Oak LD Caravan Club- Nov 30-Dec 4.
Everyone is invited to the LD Caravan's Club holiday GTG at Live Oak Camp, located at Lake Cachuma , near Santa Barbara.
This is the Club's favorite campout, Live Oak is a beautiful place with lots of room for dispersed camping.
It may be our last winter event at Live Oak, due to the decreasing membership.

Hope to see you there.

Note that the turnoff for Live Oak is the San Marcos golf course, several miles before the Lake Cachuma campground when coming up the 154 over the San Marcos pass.

The information for the Live Oak outing is not up yet on the CC website, but it should be available pretty soon. Check HomepageLD in a week or so for information; needed registration/fee/activity/other information is all there (or, will be!).

Live Oak is dry camping; there is a dump at the campground at Lake Cachuma, but most attendees come with adequate water and black/grey tank capacity for the 4 days. Per night costs (for Live Oak) are usually about $23-$25, if I recall correctly. First-timers usually camp with the group assigned to host them.

There is a daily camping fee, not yet announced ($20/day last year). LD owners will be invited to join the Caravan Club, which has no dues, but all venues have daily camping fees. Non LD RVers are welcome at Live Oak if invited guests of an attending member.

Those interested in attending the Lazy Daze Caravan Club outing November 30-December 4 at Live Oak may want to check out the information at this link:

Live Oak_2013

More information may be posted on the website soon. (Note that the "official" end date of the gtg is Sunday, December 4, not Saturday, December 3 as stated in the information on the link.)

All Lazy Daze owners are welcome at Live Oak, as are their "SOB guests"!  ;)

P.S. Don't be put off by the "2013" date on the link; it's recycled. The 2016 Live Oak dates are November 30-December 4.

The December Caravan, at Live Oak Camp, is one of our favorites.
The campground is large with no predetermined sites, park where you please among the oak trees.
There is lots of room

Most Caravan members, that are also members of the LDOF, belong to the Past Tents sub-group.
So, if you show, look us up. We are the group having  the most fun.

Live Oak Group Camp is part of Santa Barbara's Lake Cachuma County Park and is located several miles south of the main campground.
For its exact location, enter "Live Oak Camp"  into Google maps.
The campground is dry and has no hookups . Water and a dump station are available at the main campground, so show with a filled water tank and empty holding tanks.
Bring your toad. Santa Barbara, Solvang and Santa Ynez are within driving distance, if you need a field trip.

The Past Tents are also the identifiable by the way they park their rigs in their group area. One group might park in alignment, another in a "circular" pattern, and another group in some other "tidy" configuration. The PT parking layout often looks like a random, off-target parachute drop. As Larry said, we have a good time.  ;)
