2005 Awning Gap Between Coach and Brackets?
I have recently purchased a 2005 27.5 MB Lazy Daze.  I found that the awning is not mounted flush to the coach, and rain gets between.  I did a topic search here and found that it is a common problem.  I am wondering if anyone has come up with a solution?  Thanks.

Foam rubber Backer rod can be used to close the gap, available at HD.

I wonder if the stick on guttering would work on this, and what people think of it in general?

Unless the gap is fully filled, rain will still come through but you can use both.
First use the 5/8" backer rod to fill the awning gap, it's soft and compresses, so push it in deeply.

Then install the stick-on gutter to direct water, draining off the roof.
The stick-on gutter's adhesive needs the surface to be very clean, for a long life. The stuff peels off if the surface wasn't spotless or is too sharp a radius is used at the ends.
Some swear by it and other swear at it.

I bought this awning rain guard from Fiamma and installed it on the original awning on our '02 30'. The few times I was parked and there was rain, it worked pretty well. That said, it was a bear to install and I have not put it on my newer awning which replaced the wind damaged original. http://www.fiammausa.com/products/awnings.asp?Fam=A3&Page=2&BG=#item2  I also have EZ gutters on the LD. They work pretty well for moderate rain and normal roof drainage. Amazon.com: Esssentials UW01004 Polar White 10' EZE RV Gutter: Automotive.
