Start a new topic while quoting another post
Let's say you're reading a post and it inspires you to start a new topic. You want to include the "inspirational" part in your new topic so readers know where it came from.  An example - someone mentions changing oil while a campground and you want to ask more about that campground.

What's a member to do?

On the bottom right of the post you'll see Quote - Like - More....

Hover over More... and you'll see some options, including New Topic.  If you click that, it will start a new topic and quote the original post.

Now, edit down the quote to just the part that inspires your new topic.  Change the topic title to something meaningful and select the board you want your new topic to appear in (if it's different than the current board.  In the above example the oil change might have been in Technical; your campground question would be best in Campfire)

Incidentally, that More... also gets you to "Report Post".  That's what you use if someone posts something offensive and you want to let the moderators know about it.

Michelle

(ETA sorry for no pic but as an Admin my "More..." has some additional options that would confuse the discussion)
