Parking brake May 14, 2016, 06:23:27 pm On our 1992 MB the parking park cable to the rear passenger wheel is sticking. Our mechanic cannot find a replacement cable. Apparently Ford only has them for 1995+. Our mechanic says he's afraid if we engage the emergency brake it will not release! Ever! He did find a company in the upper midwest that will make a cable but you have to send them the old cable and THEN they will quote a price. Any ideas?

Select Ford, the year, model, and engine size. Go to "Brake and Wheel"; several choices of parking brake cables are listed, most for about $5.00!
