Bathroom fan - intermittently on the fritz February 27, 2016, 09:21:49 am Yahoo Message Number: 159032Hello all! We've just returned from a 3 week jaunt in FL/GA, and are now back in So. NC.I have a couple of questions, and I've separated them to keep the subjects straight...First question concerns the bathroom fantastic fan.... We have an 05 27MB, 2nd owners, and believe this to be the original fan. What's happening is that the fan doesn't work occasionally: sometimes it works fine, sometimes it doesn't work at all, and sometimes it works on only one speed setting.I've tried the following: 1. Made sure the vent is fully open; 2. Removed and checked fuse: it appears fine.It feels almost as if the speed selector switch is not making contact at all times.Has anyone experienced this, or have any thoughts?TIA,Bob

These are infamous for getting dirty and sticking, preventing the fan from running. You might try to find if yours has one and if it operates properly. A little WD-40 might help if it is sticking.Art

Re: Bathroom fan - intermittently on the fritz Reply #5 – March 02, 2016, 09:20:31 am Yahoo Message Number: 159132Fantastic Fan's customer service used to be excellent, but a decline in the quality of service was a big concern when Atwood Mobile bought the company! It's good to hear of a positive experience. ;-)Joan

I have received many free repair parts from them, over the last twenty years, including switches, motors and fuse holders. Most failure to run problems can be traced to a dirty hatch switch, a loose connection or the fuse holder.Larry 1 Likes
