Rare sightings in Florida?  Come north to Bushnell as there are two of us at Sumter Oaks Escapees park.  There was a third one here last week and I have seen some on I-75.

Hi Mike.  Best wishes on a speedy recovery.  We have also stayed at the park where you are now.  We will be on our way to sunny Florida in the next couple of weeks, staying near Orlando.  Other friends from the NELD group be will also spending time in Florida this winter.

BTW, some of the SELD members and NELD members get together at the Yahala Bakery in Yahala Florida on the last Saturday in February.  If you feel up to it, why don't you join us?

For what it's worth, there are a couple LDs at the SKP (Co-op) Resort in Wauchula, FL as well.  With all the SELD and NELD snowbirds, FL should be crawling with LDs! :)

We are heading there at the end of the month.
Would someone give us the details on the gathering at the donut shop at the end of February. Want to see if it will fit into our travel itinerary.

Thanks,

Tom and Kristen Sawyer NELD72

Mike:  Best wishes for a speedy recovery.  Our LD is in Stuart for the winter but glad to hear that you are seeing our LD community alive and well in the Sun Shine State!

Tom and Kristen,

To call it a donut shop would be a gross understatement!  Here is their website:

http://www.yalahabakery.com/

Other details from a posting in the SELD group:

"In 2016 it will be February the 27th.
If you need to stay overnight, Ridgecrest Resort, Ph# 352-787-1504. The Mgr. is Nancy.  Or on the web:

www.mhvillage.com/Communities/MobileHomePark.php?key=8621

This is the closest place to the bakery.

Close by the bakery, is the Lakeridge Winery.   Web site:

www.lakeridgewinery.com/ "

We basically hang out at the bakery grounds around mid day and also have lunch there.

If you are a member of the SELD go to their message nr 3014 (linkSE Lazy Dazers).  The address of the bakery is not there but the date and nearest camp ground is.   The GTG takes place on 2/27.  Near by camp: Ridgecrest Resort, Ph# 352-787-1504.

Perhaps someone from the SE group will see this post and give the address of the bakery.
Wish I was going this year.  This seems to be a fun event.

Tom,

I really, really should have put a "smiley" after the "gross understatement" comment!  There was no offense ever taken.

Yes, Yahala Bakery is out on a country road.
