Quartzsite 2016. The Eagle Has Landed!

Quartzsite 2016 has started.  Dan and Lynn Sands are on site and there is plenty of room.  Go to the Q Board: Yahoo! Groups

For information and directions.  This is a great get together for a few days  or a couple of weeks.  We should be there until around the end of January.

We've sold our home in San Diego and have moved to the Sarasota Florida area.  I'm flying back to San Diego 1-12-16 to pick up our LD and sailboat to bring them back to Florida.  I need to go the Lake Pleasant outside of Phoenix on the drive back and thought about stopping by to say hello and good bye, but it doesn't sound like the roads are sailboat towing friendly, oh well, our daughter and son-in-law still live in Oceanside, so we'll be returning periodically to SoCal.

The entire Lazy Daze group site where everyone has met over the years is wide open.  We have not experienced heavy rain.  There was one puddle on Old Yuma Road just before BLM 532 but it is not an obstacle.  The washes are dry.  Area weather reports indicate the rain will taper off and skies will clear by Saturday.  The worst we've seen since we arrived on Monday was sprinkles.  The good, old fire ring is still intact and waiting for its first burn.

And now, the best part - Ed and Carol are here in their new 2015 rig!

Thanks Dan for the encouraging report from Roger's 1/2 acre of LDers.
Especially glad to read that Ed & Carol "repented" and bought another LD!! We're attending LD Caravan at La Paz RV Park (north of Parker) next week. You're welcome to drive-up and join-in for a day or two.  Channel 30.
We hope to see y'all the following week; Jan. 18 or 19.

If any of the Quartzsite crew are interested, the LD Caravan Club will be holding its January Caravan at La Paz County Park, January 13-17.
La Paz County Park is located 45 miles north of Quartzite, next to the river on the Parker strip.

The Caravan is open to all LDs and membership is free. Camping fees are reasonable.
The Past Tents sub-group is hosting this month and is where you will find the active Yahoo members, self included.

Well as soon as we can chip ourselves out of the ice here in Oregon we will be heading south.  Nothing like threading the weather needle.
