RVS rear camera issues December 08, 2015, 11:29:59 am Yahoo Message Number: 157476I have a Rear View Systems camera system I bought about almost 2 years ago. The monitor quit recently. No lights. No nothing. The multiplexer box (where the power, camera, and monitor hook up) has power going to it.I contacted the company and they said most likely a bad monitor. They quoted me $129 to replace it. I said it's just two years old and used sparingly in my RV. They came back with $101 shipped. I hope this is the problem and a new monitor will fix it..This unit appears to be not very durable in my opinion. I'd say "buyer beware" and look for something better built with a better warranty.my 2 cents

This is what I'm doing since my Alpine unit burned up. I can lose the monitor and gain back the lost dash space. If I'm waiting in a parking lot on something I can watch music videos or a movie. The back up camera will kick in with a switch or when in reverse. I have to figure that part out still. Actually Larry probable already knows. I defer to the knowledge of experts whenever possible.bobmoore14
Re: RVS rear camera issues Reply #2 – December 08, 2015, 06:03:23 pm Yahoo Message Number: 157481Bob, My stereo is pretty new. I use the camera to monitor my tow vehicle so it needs to be on as I drive. Good advice otherwise...thanks!
