Another LD Surprise- Cab Heater

I had thought that after several months of using the LD and reading the manual that I wouldn't have any surprises. So the other day, I turned on the floor heater in the truck cab and the propane heater came on in the back of the coach. That was a surprise.  I re-read that section in the LD manual, but I don't see mention of this feature. I would have thought that the floor heater in the cab would have worked off the truck's components? Btw, this is a '09 LD.  I can't believe that something is wrong, but I'm looking for confirmation that is the way that heater works.

In ours, they are two separate units. Yours should be the same unless it was a fluke? Maybe it was modified? Good luck!

Did you have your thermostat set to turn on near the interior temperature of the LD?

I thought it should be two separate units too.  The thermostat was not turned on either.  Quite strange. Perhaps the original owners made some kind of modification, but I think we'd of see it in their extensive maintenance records.  I think I'll double check the coach heater switch to be sure it is off and then turn the floor heater on from the dash and see what happens again.

I attempted to replicate turning on the propane heater using the cab floor heater switch and NOT to anyone's surprise (except perhaps me) the propane heater did not come on.  So I'm not sure what I heard while driving down the freeway at 55 mph that made me think I had turned on the propane heater.  Perhaps I'm just a goofy old man who is more than a bubble off-center.
