We had an 89 With a vertical LP tank that filled the empty space of the small table in the back. It was secured in place by a metal band that went around the middle of the upright tank.  If that band is missing I would think you could make a substitute with a small chain and some type of clasp.  Or maybe industrial strength Velcro.

I would go to Home Depot and get a water heater earthquake strap kit.  It should be easily trimmable down to size for an LP tank.
