Grand Canyon 2015

Looking to swing the Grand Canyon for a couple nights next week. May 11th & 12th. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do and not do?  We're not hard core hikers but would like to take in some good views.

Thanks,

We were just there last Sept. We stayed at Grand Canyon Trailer Village-full hook ups.
Drive out to Desert View to tour the Watchtower. It can be crowed though.
Catch the shuttle and stop off at the different stops to explorer. You have to take the shuttle if you want to go to South Kaibab Trailhead or Yaki Point. Vehicle are no longer allowed on the area of roadway unless you have a handicap sticker. South Kaibab Trailhead is where the mule trains enter the canyon.
If you like to walk, walk the rim to or from the visitor center or Grand Canyon Village. You will see a lot of the canyon. We walked it one morning from the campground to the Grand Canyon Village. We started at 7 AM and nobody was around. At the Village we caught the bus back to the campground.
Take in a ranger talk. We did the one about the Elks in the park at Mather campground. Very informative.
