If you are interested in things electrical in your LD, you may find this gadget kind of cool.

Basically it is a recording voltmeter, that measures voltage on a schedule that you set. it will record up to 32000+ readings and provide a graph of its measurements.  Rather cool if you want to know if your 4-stage power converter is actually cycling on its advertised schedule. Download the data using a USB port on your computer.
 About $66 from Amazon.  Unfortunately the software only runs on Windows, but Windows on your Mac works just fine.
 The company also makes quite a variety of other loggers for temperature, humidity, CO etc.
