Lots of paint blisters on my 92 LD.  Any suggestions on fixing the problem short of a complete new paint job?

Uh Cwag34  Hi; The first question that comes to mind is, are there  deposits of white powdery aluminum underneath the blisters? Are the blisters  open to the air (paint missing)? There was a recent discussion of electrolysis,  moisture from remote leaks causing destruction of the aluminum skin from  underneath. If it is just wear and tear of the paint, mostly sunlight or salt  air from being near the ocean, just repainting may be in order. At 22 years old,  Acrylic from a good auto painter may be in order, instead of the very pricey  linear polyurethane from the factory. Hope this helped. RonB with a  '99TKB
