Gasoline taxes

Here is an American Petroleum Institute's  listing of which states charge for gasoline taxes. Many times we 'try' to avoid filling up in the states with the higher tax rate.

I live in a bounder  town.  I have found there is no difference in price per gallon because of tax on gas.  In fact there is no difference based on self serve vs pumping it yourself.
It's based on supply and demand .....  Prices today range from 3.59 to 4.15 all over the Portland/Vancouver area.  Cheapest is a Cosco located in a higher gas tax non-self serve location.
