Of Interest to Some, Or None...the Trip Numbers 2013-2014

We recently (5/7) arrived home in Maine after 205 nights in our 2006 LD MB "Wild Thing."  We rambled 8114.7 miles from Maine to California to Florida and back to Maine, with many stops (some quite long) in between.

We averaged 8.0 miles to the gallon, and except for fewer than 150 miles, we towed a Saturn L300.  The Saturn had usually less than 1/2 tank of gas, but lots of "stuff" in the trunk and back seat.

We spent, on average, $3.381 per gallon/gas in the LD.

We do not track the Saturn mileage or gas, but we do use it for all local driving.

No reason to share our overnight costs because everyone seems to have their own interests and preferred locations.  We have, however,  stayed at a Walmart only once in 7 years and usually stay at full service parks.  File this under "whatever works for you."

"Wild Thing" is currently resting and being cleaned.  She will resume her summer travels to her summer vacation on Cape Cod MA before her anticipated October 2014 departure to points surely interesting.

Hi Tina:  Thanks for the brief summary of your most recent trip.  We did a similar trip last summer, but much shorter, 5 weeks.  Hope to meet up with you sometime to swap trip info.

Hi Tina, Great to learn all is well and you are still traveling with the Lazy Daze.  Hope to see you on the road sometime in the future. Mostly we spend the summers in the northwest and the winters in the southwest, especially Arizona.  With your experience now...what are your favorite areas and parks?

Best regards, David and Nola
