Re: Sun oven Reply #2 – April 24, 2014, 06:00:38 pm Yahoo Message Number: 145928I'm surprised that Doug and Beth haven't chimed in. Beth cooked us cake after cake, and I also remember a pot of beans, in her Sun Oven. This was at Albuquerque BF in October and Quartzsite this year. It was magic!Linda Allen

Re: Sun oven Reply #4 – April 24, 2014, 07:43:41 pm Yahoo Message Number: 145935Thanks, Chris. I've been following Bob since before he ever left Alaska, and never fail to be amazed at how much he does with so little. His "tutorials" are very well done. And his site is extraordinary.I built myself a solar oven from a $35. kit back in the late 90's, but it was a total bust! I know the new ones are a whole lot better than that, but am not anxious to spend a bunch of money on something that isn't really an improvement. I'm pretty sure it must be, but I need reassurance, I guess.Seems a shame to live in Arizona and not harness Big Red for useful work! ;->Virtual hugs,Judie http://dorrieanne.wordpress.com
