Back By Popular Demand March 15, 2014, 04:36:03 pm Yahoo Message Number: 145340Well folks, I had more than a few query's at the Morro Bay Shindig as to why I have not posted on this board recently. Part of the problem of course was the not so popular change of format instituted by our dear Yahoo! Hate those people! And secondarily it was because my sorely outdated computer (10yr old WinXP), which was not being supported by just about everyone, would/could not process the newer format. This forced my hand and cost me some big bucks to acquire a new PC (Intel i5, Win7), which I'm using now. All the Yahoo bugs suddenly went away, at least for now. And so, if I find a topic of interest, I'll once again jump in with both feet as of days of yore.Steve S. Lazy Bones & Jiggs

Re: Back By Popular Demand Reply #2 – March 16, 2014, 08:20:43 am Yahoo Message Number: 145349Steve, I understand the frustrations with computer tech obsolescence, but have been using xp on this one with no Yahoo issues I'm aware of. Can't speak for the future, but all my programs and internet interfaces still work fine. If you still have the old xp dinosaur lying around, perhaps you weren't letting the support upgrades through?Steve
Re: Back By Popular Demand Reply #3 – March 16, 2014, 09:08:36 pm Yahoo Message Number: 145367Oh I was getting prompted from all sides to update the XP drivers but I have this phobia about downloading material of unknown origins. So, I just let it slide until there were no other options. The old XP machine will be cleansed of my stuff and passed on to someone who really needs it, along with the printer and a scanner which were incompatible with my new machine.Steve S.
