Awning Troubles February 20, 2014, 05:41:58 pm Yahoo Message Number: 145093The awning on our 1992 22' RL seems to have gears stripped in crank mechanism --- can't get it to open up --- just spins. The model is "Horizon", division of Dometic. Trying to get info on line... Meanwhile anyone in LD-Land have suggestion, tips, repair thoughts, or similar experience?? Any and all are appreciated! This was discovered while taking our maiden trip in this LD and we had just stopped in Montclair the day we started out to pick up a couple of little things at LazyDaze HQ! On to Indio for a few days R&R and the only issue was the awning which had worked well in our driveway! Now home and hoping to get it fixed...Thanks in advance, Alexandra

It seems previous owners had a problem and there are tears in it and the hinges won't straighten. Don't know if it is a similar model awning to the '92 but any help is good
