Yahoo: subject lines and IPAD (spinoff from GC thread)

LW5315 (Bob) and JCTAYLOR1941 (Joan) 'mentioned' problems with that MPOS Yahoo bollixing on the IPAD. Having been an ATT customer since the previous millennium before the RBOCS re-coalesced into MA Bell again, I have watched the downhill slide of the service culminating in Yahoo (I tend to pronounce it differently than Corp does).

This is what works for us:

1. My email account in Yahoo has a rule that moves all incoming mail with '[LD]' in the heading into a folder.

2. Our IPAD is set up with a Yahoo account under Settings>Email.

3. I don't use the Yahoo Group much, most of the traffic is handled thru the inbox or subfolder.

This seems to work for us. One downside is that items sent from the IPAD do not get posted to the Yahoo sent items on the server side. Coordinating desktop, laptop, IPAD & phablet is interesting sometimes.
I don't use Yahoo groups from the IPAD at all. Am on the laptop in the Yahoo LD Group and clicked 'start new topic' to change the subject.

Is there a better groupware, or is Yahoo the least bad? joel
