Ilse, I'm using a 12-volt usb charger and usb cable to charge my MiFi. Here is the 12V charger that I use. It has two usb ports, so you can use the other one for something else if you want: http://tinyurl.com/PowerBoltDuoI plug that into the 12V receptable that is in the rear overhead driver's side cupboard in my 2007 Midbath. Then I got a long (10-foot) Micro USB cable (cheap from Meritline.com). I ran the usb cable over to the cubbyhole that is cut out behind where the TV would go. My MiFi resides in there. I switch on the 12V power using the switch that Lazy Daze provided and labeled "12 Volt Outlet." I turn it and the MiFi off at night, most nights. This setup keeps the MiFi charged and avoids having to use an inverter.--Jan Forseth

I guess I have to check withMillenicom, if they sell a USB cable for it. I have several of the 12V plugs that accept one or two devices. Ilse

Usually you just go and buy one from most anywhere.I unplug my wife'c cell phone and plug in the jet pack..Not the iPhone is NOT the correct cable... You can get a cable at any Radio Shack, best Buy, Truck stop and many dollar stores. Maybe best bet would be Amazon with the best reviews as all cables are not created equal....

Re: Digest Number 8899 Reply #5 – December 15, 2013, 09:59:49 pm Yahoo Message Number: 144128Jan nailed it: the MiFi can be powered from 12V with a simple USB power adapter plug of the type she mentioned. These 12V USB adapters are available almost everywhere; I've even seen them at the checkout counter in drugstores.Yes, you'll also need a cable: standard USB to Micro USB. But if I'm not mistaken, that cable came with your MiFi. Take a look at your AC power adapter. If the cable can be unplugged from it, you're home free. Just take that cable and plug it into the 12V USB adapter that Jan mentioned. If you need to buy a separate USB to Micro USB cable, any Radio Shack store can sell you one, and there's a good chance you'll also find them in the electronics departments of Walmart, Target and similar stores.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels

These are both small and may look similar at a quick glance. Make sure you get a standard USB to micro-USB cable. Best to take your mifi with you into the store.Art
