Simple black/gray tank cleaning/deodorizing
Yahoo Message Number: 144055
Just thought I'd share a method of cleaning the tanks. For many years and 8 previous RV's, I've added a 1/2 gallon (or so) of white vinegar and a gallon or two of water after dumping my tanks to clean and deodorize them while I drive. Sometimes I leave it in when I get home and sometimes I'll empty it depending on how long the RV is going to sit. I usually don't worry about the gray tank as I've never had an odor from it. This is a very inexpensive tank cleaner and you never know when you might need a natural cleaner! We once purchased a used RV and I failed to open the valve in the toilet to view the tank. Big mistake, it was disgusting. I used the white vinegar method and fortunately was able to bring it back to normal!
