mechanic recommendation?

Sounds like a lot of you do a lot of your own maintenance.
 Does anyone in the SF bay area have a good mechanic (besides a ford dealer)  to recommend to work on motor/transmission kinds of things?

Try Specialized Auto and East Bay Frame and Axle (they're right next door to each other) on Heggenberger near Davis in Oakland. They've done right by me several times and you'll see lots of HD vehicles and MHs in their lot. Worth the trip.

Depend on what part of Bay Area you are talking about.  I use Bay Area Truck Service here in San Jose.  They were recommended by Mission Valley Ford when they opted out.  No complaints.  Just had my 90,000 done.
