Internet Fraud October 06, 2013, 04:11:53 pm Yahoo Message Number: 143033I just wanted to share this with the group. I got two similar responses to my LD listing. I don't know exactly what the scam is but as I suspected its a scam. My first clue was the bad grammar. The second clue was when I got a similar email the same week. If it is too good to be true it probably is. Sellers beware."Thanks a lot for the email. Am buying it for my father just turned 60 year last week and because he own a school, and am so proud of him . I want it as a surprise package to appreciate him towards his achievement and to be delivered before my arrival Wyoming as my family lives in Wyoming .I work with Animal Planet (Call Of The Wild Man and we are presently offshore in US. We do not have access to phone at the moment, its 15days off and 15days on, which is why I contacted you with internet messaging facility. Where is it located at the moment?Does it have any history I should be aware of? and why are you selling if you don't mind my asking.I am already in talks with the courier that will handle the pick-up and delivery it in Wyoming. As regards the payment, I can pay you through direct bank deposit, using ppal instant bank wire transfer service, I will need your bank details. If you are not comfortable with that, you can set up a paypal account proper at www.paypal.com and I will make the payment through paypal, this way, all I will need is your paypal email address.Thank you !!"

As Detective Munch said in response to a lame alibi from a suspect, in the pilot episode of Homicide: Life on the Street: "If you're gonna lie to me, you lie to me with respect!" Re: Internet Fraud Reply #4 – October 06, 2013, 10:02:21 pm Yahoo Message Number: 143040Yeah, that's an obvious scam letter. I'm embarrassed to admit I got taken for 2k on a craigslist scam trying to buy a car 2 years ago. But it was hard lesson learned. Anyone who says they are in the military, have a pregnant wife, out of state, country....Beware....! If say they can't meet you in person, it's most likely a scam. DO NOT exchange information of any kind with those that can't meet with you.
Re: Internet Fraud Reply #5 – October 06, 2013, 10:06:39 pm Yahoo Message Number: 143041One more thing. My con artist was in Colorado. There was a link in a craigslist ad to a fully functioning fake Ebay site. I've been using ebay for years and I know my way around it very well. They did an excellent job. The web address was www.ebay.com-something or other. I saw the www.ebay.com and thought I was at the real site....until he didn't show up from Quantico to meet with me in "our" home state. So watch those urls too.
