Generator Repairs

I picked up my LD yesterday after having $600 in repairs and servicing done to my generator. Replaced the muffler/exhaust pipe assembly (the pipe had been torn off after the previous owner hit something. Muffler was still intact, and the gen ran without issue, so we never bothered to fix it until now), and the fuel pump that died last month on a hot overnighter to the Hogle Zoo with my kids. After ordering parts from Onan and leaving it with them for the day, the generator is purring like a kitten.

The shop that did the repairs did a great job, very clean, fast work. They're one of the few shops certified for Onan gens in my area. It was interesting to hear him talk of the Onan 4kw gens, he spoke very highly of them. He said that he's seen them run well into the thousands of hours when maintained properly. While I've never seen someone with that many hours on their generator, it was nice to hear that I have about 100 years of use left in my generator at the rate I run it.

Tyler, why not add information about that shop to our "Maintenance/Installation Facilities" database? That way others will be able to find it.
