Yahoo update
Yahoo Message Number: 142402
A couple of things I learned today:

1. Message numbers appear when you view "Messages", but not when you view "Topics".

2. Messages posted via the website from Safari/Mac 6.0.5 have all linefeeds and carriage returns stripped out, and appear as one long block of text on the website. In addition, website-originated posts show up in emails and the daily digest with HTML "escape sequences"--ampersand + pound sign + numbers + semicolon--substituted for most punctuations (e.g., it's instead of it's). When the same text is posted via email, it appears as it should.

Just thought you might like to know.

Andy...    Yahoo is having other problems with the ampersand.  I tried to get to "More/Files/Buying & Selling" and it says that it's an invalid path.  This is true for both Firefox and IE.  I can get to the other folders, even ones with a space

" I can get to the other folders, even ones with a space in the name, but not the one with the ampersand." You know, that could be the problem. I remember in the past, Yahoo would go bananas if there was a slash in a filename (e.g., "Twin/King for sale"). You may have spotted the reason, Dave. Of course there's no reason why filenames with ampersands should be illegal now when they were permitted before, but... "Maybe you could rename the folder using the word 'and' instead of the ampersand." Trouble is, I can't even get to those folders to edit their names--all I get is " Oops!  Invalid path."
