Center console removal 1987 LD August 03, 2013, 03:32:33 pm Yahoo Message Number: 141753I broke the top of the console that holds drinks and wat to repair it, gluing, etc. I was told to pop out the box under it (done) and remove the 4 screws holding it in place. That's where the trouble started. I found two screws on the bottom which I removed but can't find the additional screws...can anyone help?Paul

Don't know if your '87 is similar to our '83, but on that the upper screws were located behind the flip-up ashtray door. If that is your case, they can be removed with a longish #2 philips, then unplug the cigarette lighter socket once you pull the console forward a bit.Steve
