Conclusions to Speedometer Saga February 21, 2013, 10:36:52 am Yahoo Message Number: 1369781) Strongly recommend Mead Auto/RV Service in Blythe, CA and Sanderson Ford in Glendale, AZ.2) Helpful hotlines and internet were: ...Ford Motorhome Chassis Hotline (24/7) free . Tel #800-444-3311. ...The RV Forum Community (www.rvforum.net) ...Escapees Website, tech Problems (www.rvnetwork.com) ...This LD website.3) Although I had overlapping coverage from two Emergency Roadside Assistance companies, they were little help and refused to pay for expenses since I wasn't towed. And...would not tow vehicle to Sanderson Ford in Phoenix area (my suggestion) but only to nearest RV Service Dealer (Blythe or Quartzsite in this case).4) Be prepared with an Emergency Fund for any possible problems along the road. In our case we keep $5000 available. Keep in mind that we have been trouble free for 96,000 miles with our 1998 LD MB.5) Final costs came to about $3000. Ouch! Thanks to all for their input! We are Happy Campers once again.

In my experience, engine/chassis/systems-related problems and/or those which affect the coach and/or appliances are usually not unique to one LD; the broader the knowledge base, the better! ;-)Joan
