Diode isolators for LD
Yahoo Message Number: 136632
Hi Don I can't remember how I know this, but Lazy Daze switched from diode isolation systems to 'contactor' 12vdc relays to connect the batteries in parallel. In the old days, '70's and '80's this was a standard practice. The downside was that the contacts could stick (weld) shut and leave you stranded if  both batteries ran down. Newer relays are better. I believe I saw this on  someone's newer rig at a caravan club meeting. Possibly around 2007, so that  might explain this instance. Maybe someone with a newer rig in the 2008 to  present range could inspect their's and let us document that. RonB and  'Bluebelle a '99TKB.
