Eureka goes Live... and free!
Yahoo Message Number: 129722
I first published "Eureka! Bright Ideas For Your RV" four years ago. Since then, it's been downloaded by hundreds of RVers, and it's gotten great reviews. But I always wanted to make Eureka more widely available. For example, the old downloadable version couldn't be installed on iPads, iPhones, or other phones and tablets. And once a person downloaded a copy, there was no way of updating it. Since I'm always working on Eureka, adding tips and bringing articles up to date, this bothered me.
So I've decided to make Eureka a free, web-based information source that the whole world can benefit from: Eureka Live. The only drawback is that as with any website, an internet connection is required. But that's much more common nowadays than it was five years ago, so I don't see it as a big drawback. The advantage is that Eureka Live can be read on any device that has a good web browser... and whenever you go there, you'll always get the latest information (or at least the latest that I've had time to put online :-).
'Nuff said. Many, many thanks to all who've supported Eureka over the years... and now without further ado, here's Eureka Live:

Wonderful Andy.  I just scrolled through the Glossary.  It alone has so much information for those not as familiar with the RVing lifestyle.  It'll take me a month to get through the rest.
Great job and thanks for all your contributions here and elsewhere to the world's RVers.

Safe travels,

Thank you for making this public. It has been an invaluable resource for me for several years, and it a wonderful promo for the wonderful Lazy Daze features. It has a good balance of Gertie and Skylark (older and newer rigs), and answers just about every question that a newby could ask. I appreciate that you are offering it free, and hope that you reap benefits in other ways for your generosity.

Andy

Thanks for your contribution to the Lazy Daze community.
I vote that Eureka should be listed on the home page, along with the other useful LD links. It's too good a resource to leave underused.

This is new to me, Andy, and first impression is this is a wonderful resource.  Thanks for writing it.  And for making it available to us all.

"A simple 'See Eureka' reply will not only direct inquirers to find their answers, but a great deal more ..."
You're very kind, Jack, and I'm sure there will be times when we can refer people to  Eureka. But let's not forget that we already have the extremely helpful Lazy Daze Companion (http://lazydazearticles.blogspot.com/p/whats-this-all-about.html) as a reference for commonly asked questions.
Speaking of that, I wonder whether it might not be a good idea to add a "Canada" article to the Companion, since questions about importing Lazy Dazes to Canada seem to come up regularly. I'm not qualified to write such an article myself, but perhaps one of our northern members could summarize the situation, the 15-year (?) rule, and the reasons why LD feels it's too costly to do the necessary paperwork.

I would like to add my kudos' to this effort.

I have used Eureka for several years, but not as much as I should.
I see Eureka as a source of creative information, while The Companion has necessary, but decidedly mundane information.

Thanks Andy!
Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but when you read the Introduction there's a simple way that we can help support the website without spending extra cash.
