Thanks to the Caires, we've upgraded from our trusty '83 FL, which has served us well for the past 19 years. Our new one has been sitting in our driveway for almost a week now, as we slowly decipher where to put all our stuff, and proceed to customize to our needs. Much more will be posted as we progress, with a goal of hitting the road next month.
Over the years, so much discussion on this group has not applied in any useful way to the '83, and went unread. Now most of it DOES apply to this '04, and I am spending hours in catch-up - just like any neophyte! A quick break for Easter entertaining, then back to the project.

Steve,

Congratulations on your newer 2004 LD. Like you said, you'll be
catching up on things, now that a lot of the things you've read about
now apply to your newer LD. Keep us posted on any extras you decide to

do. Congratulations once again.

JC

Steve's 'new' LD looks brand new, thanks to the diligence of the previous owners (now owners of a 2012 FL).
It is the cleanest, most stock-like ten-year-old LD, I have ever seen.
Steve is starting with almost a clean slate and I'm sure is having a ball engineering all the enhancements that 'must be done' before serious camping can proceed. His wife probably has a few ideas too.

Looking forward to the results.

And I just bet you are lovin' every single puttering, tinkering minute!  Again, congratulations Steve.  Please be sure to keep us informed of your adventures, especially your virgin voyage.  And, BTW, tell Nancy that plastic coated wire shelves (little legs can even be bent) are terrific cupboard doublers...they come in all different lengths and heights; I even have two in my medicine cabinet.
