Mechanical Issues

Are there any mechanical issues that the Lazy Daze are somewhat prone to have...???  For example, some of the Toyota motorhomes were kind of prone to have problems with the rear-axle giving out in the vehicle.  Another issue with the toyhomes was their inability to climb a hill with the airconditioner on.

The Toyotas famously had problems with the rear axles because of the low GVWR, which American coachmakers routinely ignored when plopping a body on-board that automatically exceeded the limit by several thousand pounds. The Ford and Chevy chassis, even with higher load capacities, would suffer from various prematurely failing components as well, mostly because coachbuilders (I use this term loosely) would just about meet the GVWR without such things as generator, roof air, interior appliances and options, filled tanks, passengers and equipment.
All LD models are designed to have an allowance for passengers and their stuff by aiming significantly UNDER the GVWR with all accessories, options, and filled tanks. As far as endemic mechanical issues with the various chassis and drivetrains, there is plenty of such info on this group accessible with diligent searches.
