North Dakota

We have been pretty much full-time rv'ers for the past 9 years.  Shayne and I have lived all over the country with our pets.  We have two dogs and one cat.  Anywhere that we go and are going to be spending a significant amount of time there with me working, I always have a rv park lined up ahead of time.  At this time in the state of North Dakota that is nearly impossible.  From recently chatting with my aunt and uncle who also rv about 6 months of the year, it is extremely difficult to find a place to even overnight park in parts of North Dakota.  The towns of Williston and Dickinson are extremely difficult.  I went and did some reading up on this via the Internet and with all of the oil workers in that part of the state housing is extremely limited.  There are people parking for weeks at a time in Wal-Mart and Pamida parking lots.  This may have very little, if any personal affect to you, but in the event that you may be planning a trip through North Dakota, plan accordingly.
