So how do I figure out which roads are hight restricted?

I have put bids on two campers. Both are well west of here. The first sold to another, the second may be mine pending a look over. Both were out west (not a surprise), and I live on the east coast. I am a rookie at RVing (yes I said that before, but I do not expect people to remember me). Is there a way looking at Google maps (or another program) to see if a road it height restricted. In general I have been looking looking at a 26.5 Mid Baths - mostly stock as built. I may never travel the south west again. I would like to get off the interstate. Maybe to to Roswell through the mountains from Tucson. I understand the height may be less an issue out west, but there are a lot of low bridges in MD and VA.

In general, don't worry about it. The published height of a recent MB is 10'1", lower than most class C or A RV's. Most low bridges are higher than that. The few that aren't are VERY well marked.

There are some general sites that provide info on the larger roads: http://www.aitaonline.com/Info/Low%20Clearances.html http://www.allstays.com/c/low-clearance-locations.htm

Many state DOT websites maintain complete lists.
To give some perspective, a typical UPS/FedEx truck is in the 13' range and there aren't many places they don't go.
Of course, you do have to watch out for parking garages, drive thrus, bank and pharmacy overhangs, and so on.
