Leaky outdoor shower November 11, 2010, 07:08:08 pm Yahoo Message Number: 118184The outdoor shower on my 2001 mb is leaking from hole in the mixing chamber when the water is turned on. I believe the hole is a vent to allow the fixture to drain to prevent any freeze damage, I would assume that there is to be a check valve there to close the vent when water pressure is applied. I haven"t really got into it yet but I thought I'd check with the group for any suggestions before I go any further. As always thanks for everyone;s assistanceJim

I called the mothership and asked about the leak. I was told that the pinhole leak is exactly as you said - to drain the line. There is no check valve. It is my understanding that the indoor and outdoor setups are the same, so I would not expect there to be a check valve outside. Ken F in NM

Without a check valve, why wouldn't it come out all the time that the hose is under pressure, with the faucet valves on?Steve

It did not appear bad it may have just got misaligned. It got it out and put back the way I thought it should go and it worked, no spray from the vent hole and I could her is draw air
