I'm thinking of going to visit Greensburg KS, I would love to see all the new buildings going up there. Has anyone been there and where did you park?  Mari

For those of you who may not remember, this Greensburg is the small Kansas town which was destroyed by a tornado in Aug, 2007.  http://tinyurl.com/27oyaoc

No, we've never been there, but it looks like your best bet on info might be to contact the city directly, at:

There was a park (before the tornado...don't know if it's still there) called Kiowa County State Lake, that had camping.
It looks as though Greensburg is making a good effort at building a green town.  Good luck to them!

Thanks Sharon!  Visiting small towns has always been interesting to me, I guess Greensburg was given the right name when it was founded I think early 1800's.    \Mari
