carpet replacement thanks March 29, 2010, 02:17:36 pm Yahoo Message Number: 111411Wonderful replies---while I was considering the Allure solution, I think I will look into using cork flooring if possible. Having grown up in Taiwan, and having a fair understanding of the Chinese mentality when it comes to commerce, I learned very quickly that "the buyer beware" is a very wise attitude.Cork is also 'green'-- sustainable, and NOT made out of mysterious recycled stuff that isn't posted as to what's in it or used. By and large most are quite happy with their ALLURE flooring, but those that aren't have a problem I'd hate to have to live with--the harsh chemical/bad smell...and my luck hasn't been running too well these days.I will tell the group what Tim has to say about using Cork instead here's a few links to cork flooring @HD...the colors ought to go well with the interior of my rig.http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&productId=100671300&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&ci_sku=100671300&ci_src=14110944&cm_mmc=shopping-_-googlebase-_-D23X-_-100671300&locStoreNum=901&marketID=15 http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&productId=100659563&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&ci_sku=100659563&ci_src=14110944&cm_mmc=shopping-_-googlebase-_-D23X-_-100659563&locStoreNum=901&marketID=15http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&productId=100567250&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&ci_sku=100567250&ci_src=14110944&cm_mmc=shopping-_-googlebase-_-D23X-_-100567250&locStoreNum=901&marketID=15 Gini Free and Junah, canine xtrodinaire "Kooch" our little red home on wheels "Growing old is mandatory. Does cork flooring have to be sealed, and if so, with what kind of sealer? I looked up the adhesive Home Depot recommends in the links you posted, and it looks good...low VOCs, and no bad stuff.Sharon N. Crossville, TN

Re: carpet replacement thanks Reply #5 – March 30, 2010, 11:14:47 am Yahoo Message Number: 111433Just as a heads up, we are trying to find green flooring for our MB, too. I read online that some people find the smell of cork flooring offensive. One person said it smelled like petroleum. It was at the top of our list until I read that.
