We recently stopped at a winery and learned about Harvest Hosts. Then, we went to their website and saw 2 Lazy Daze on the landing page.  But, looking at conversations on the Life with Lazy Daze, there hasn't been any conversation for a few years about this topic.  So... are folks renewing their membership? Having good experiences? It certainly isn't a big investment to give them a try, but we wanted to hear your thoughts.

We know a lot of people with Harvest Hosts memberships. They love Harvest Hosts and wine. We do not have a membership, but will join when we begin traveling more...  s/Terry A. 27RB

We have belonged to Harvest Hosts for 3 years and only started using it last year on our snowbird route.  It was wonderful since we chose good wineries.  We did buy a bit of wine so I don't know if we saved much money.

We did feel safe and have pictures of Deja Blue on the side of a mountain in TN overlooking grape fields.  Gorgeous.  We re-upped for three more years based on our future travel routes.  The winery contacts were charming and often offered E/W.  Many schools and farms are also on the list so you don't need to be a wine lover.  It increased our options, especially in states with few campgrounds.

Can you leave your Lazy Daze at the winery while you spend a few hours driving around, going to a restaurant, etc.?   Also, can you stay two nights, or is it one night stay only?

You can do anything you host allows.  Mine were happy to see us and very accommodating.  They are quite flexible.  They do like you there when they go home for the eve.  Our presence adds to security - as long as you don't drink a lot of wine

"Please do not stay longer than 24 hours              without permission of your Host"

How long can I stay? Harvest Hosts is set up as an overnight program with stays              of a maximum of 24 hours.  However, if you are enjoying              your visit and you've supported your Hosts with a purchase or you would like to volunteer around the farm or              winery, ask if you can stay longer.  The decision is up to your Host.
