Anyone going?  (I'm not, but want to live vicariously).  Are you blogging while there?  It'd be neat to follow you.

I did see a few places to stay:

This one is 3 miles from the Canadian border, but still a drive to the events:   http://2010rvpark.com/Home_Page.php> http://2010rvpark.com/Home_Page.php

Having spent Christmas in Ciao in Breckenridge, I'm more likely to flee to the warmth of Mexico.  But it does sound like a great adventure!

Anyone?

Tessa,
I would also recommend folks look at Birch Bay State Park.  While the Whatcom  County fairground is located in the quaint Dutch town of Lynden, WA, Birch Bay State Park is located on a bay of the Strait of Georgia and is a little closer to the venues in Vancouver as well as Whistler.
I don't think a comparison of Winter in Breckenridge, CO and NW Washington is fair; our recent January temperatures have been highs around 50 and lows around 40.  You might want to be prepared for some light rain, however.

Other things you might want to consider if you want to go is the availability and price of the venue you want to see and note that an "approved travel document" is required to get back into the US.  For most folks, that means a Passport.

During the Vancouver Expo, we hooked up at a campsite in White Rock, I believe, just outside the city limits of Vancouver.  Although we towed, we ended up just taking a city bus into the fair.  Worked out great.
Of course that was in 1986, so things probably have changed -and probably completely, but I would suggest checking to see if the campground is still there.
