Costco Batteries

Hi Gary; I was on a road trip two years ago when one of my seven year old Trojan batteries developed a shorted cell, 10.5 volts instead of 12.7. The nearest Costco in St. George Utah had these batteries for about $78 each and were the perfect fit. So I swapped them in the parking lot, and they have performed well so far.
The older batteries were abused a little, I didn't have solar  the first two years, and I kept Bluebelle plugged in most of the time with the older, dumber converter. Also I'm sure a few times I went below the 50% discharge mark. With solar now I hope these batteries will do better, or at  least as well. Ron with a '99TKB

Is the costco battery a deep-cycle battery?  If so, what is the make/model of it?

Thank you, Helen
