Hello,
Wife just ask me to check and see if anyone has that special recipe for beef stew.  She wants to use her thermal cooker.

Thanks, Bill

Bill, any recipe for stew that works in a Crock-Pot style slow cooker should work fine in the thermal cooker. If you do a Google search for 'slow cooker beef stew recipe', you'll get plenty of results.

Bill, As Andy stated, any crock pot receipe is compatible in a thermal cooker.
However, trial and error will tell you how long the cooking process will take, how much liquid to use, and how large the veggies need to be for tenderness.
We have found that potatoes cut in one inch cubes is a good rule of thumb, carrots smaller.  Meat does not need to be browned in advance.  Bring to a boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes.  Six hours of green power is usually sufficient. YMMV.

--- An additional suggestion... a boneless chuck roast (less expensive cuts are the most flavorful for "stewie stuff") trimmed and cut into pieces about 1" - 1 1/2" or so is a good beef choice. I also brown the meat well to  improve the flavor of the end result. Be sure to not crowd the pot when browning the meat pieces or they'll "pre-stew".  (And, if it's compatible with your tastes and lifestyle, a cup or so of red wine in the liquid makes a difference!)
