InMotion RaySat Dish and a portable tripod dish- Dish Network December 04, 2009, 04:31:16 pm Yahoo Message Number: 108152Has anyone succeeded using an A/B switch so they have an option which device they wish to use. I run a separate cable for each, have added the RaySat to the residential account, initially get some but not all channels on the RaySat but crap out eventually with a subscription error message and have reset the receiver and use the portable for all channels and uninterrupted service (which isn't all that bad excepting when I don't want to go outside to set it up and I have a clear view of the sky and the RaySat cost a gazillion dollars). So far no real help from Dish and I have to start from scratch explaining the situation each I time I call them (imagine that). Jay Green'07RK-

Our "new" RB came with a roof-mounted satellite dish, but I generally prefer using my little portable dish. I totally re-wired what I call my communications/entertainment control panel, including a re-wiring of the LD-provided A/B switch so it now selects which dish (portable or roof) gets fed into my satellite receiver. I also use DISH network for my service.Ted H.@ NAS Jacksonville, FL Has anyone succeeded using an A/B switch so they have an option which device they wish to use?
