We thought it entirely worthwhile to invest the time and money to have all the major appliances checked even though we had no issues. Their annual PM includes: Service water heater, refrigerator, evaluate operation of furnace, a/c and genset. Mike spent some time cleaning our water heater and it runs much quieter now.As usual when we are around them, we learned things about our RV.I am posting this because I suspect that a lot of the troubles that are posted here might be prevented with preventive maintenance. Mike travels around the SW, so if you stay on the east coast you need another tech. He used it to check the temperature difference between the intake and exhaust of our a/c. But, he also uses one to check how hot his tires and wheel bearings get. As soon as we get to a place with big box stores I am getting a new toy!!!! And I will be pleased to check your cat too. Sort of a cat scan.Cheers, Don

I've seen them for just under $10! (course those are little ones with about a 1 to 1 beam. Cost goes up as the high temperature limit goes up and the beam width decreases. Still, you can get a decent one with a laser indicator for under $30.all the best,bumper Yonder Mindenbumper
